The Last Post on this Blog....

The time has come for me to move on. From this blog. We've outgrown each other, blog. It's nothing personal. This new blog really understands where I'm coming from. So without causing a messy scene, let's just end this amicably. We'll part friends. Thanks so much for all your hard work this past year. I'll never forget you.

Enough of that. CHECK OUT THE NEW BLOG!!! I won't be updating this blog anymore - but the other will be full of awesomeness for years to come. So go on. Check it out. See you there!

New Look for the Website!!!

The best of intentions.... that about sums up my summer thus far. I'm hugely pregnant (you can check out my maternity shoot at www.katecallahan.com/blog - my friend Kate rocks). As I was saying, HUGELY pregnant, and I was planning on getting all this work done this summer...yyyyeeeeaaaahhhh. But I have hunkered down (a little) and I'm updating my website. It's actually been very nostalgic for me. I haven't updated my site in a YEAR (I know, that's bad) BUT it has given me the chance to look at all the cool people I've worked with this year (and their lovely photos). Now picking which ones will make the site is hard, it's like picking which of your kids you like more (maybe not that dramatic, but still hard). So here's a quick preview of the look I'm going for (the kinks aren't all worked out - so please have patience)

Tif & Earl & MOMS!!!!: Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Tifanie & Earl are an awesome couple - we already did their engagement shoot and we can't wait for their wedding in November (it's in a MUSEUM!!!) O.k. -so Earl contacts me because Tif's mom will be in town and he wanted to have a session with his mom and her mom...too cool. They wanted it by the art museum (where they got engaged). IT was SUPER HOT AND HUMID, but they were troopers. After this session it made me want to hug my mom. Moms are great. Thanks guys for coming up with the idea - see ya soon!

Lesley & Josh: Engagement Movie!!!!

Here is the premiere of our Engagement Session Movie!!! Jake is the creative genius beyond this video. He created this to show what our engagement sessions are like...nothing can quite capture how fun we are ; ) but this comes extremely close.

Lesley & Josh: New Jersey Wedding Photography

Each couple I get is very different - which I love. It means no two sessions will ever look alike. Lesley and Josh are very down to earth people and are very rooted to this area. No pun intended. They wanted their engagement session where Josh proposed (their favorite park) and brought their grandfather's old row boat. Jake (husband, second camera, cinematographer...) was shooting an engagement video for me that day...(stay tuned for the preview!!!) Kelly & Justin: Cape May Wedding Photographer

Kelly & Justin are an awesome couple I met through my friends Mija & Dave (mostly Dave...but I digress). Kelly & Justin were married in Wildwood and had their reception at Congress Hall in Cape May. For all of you looking to get married - Congress Hall ROCKS!! Now, I appreciate attention to detail - and this wedding did not disappoint. Nothing was overlooked - down to the adorable mini-adirondack chairs that were the place card holders. But aside from it being in a beautiful place, on a beautiful day (weather was beyond perfect), Kelly & Justin were just beautiful people - they were easy going and funny - they also looked incredible too. Thank you guys for having us apart of your awesome day - we had an amazing time!!

Megan & Vinnie: New Jersey Wedding Photographer

These guys are adorable - and it was hard to get a bad shot of the two of them. They had a lovely ceremony last Saturday and the day couldn't have been prettier. However, then sky became dark and cloudy right before the reception. These two were fearless - they went straight into their portraits outside - rain or shine (...it was raining a bit...) We had a blast during their portraits - they weren't prissy or afraid of getting dirty....my kind of people : ) Thank you for letting Jake and I be with you two on that day - we had a wonderful time. Congratulations and we'll see you when you get back!!













Apparently there exists a magical room at the Deer Run Country Club: The Chocolate Room!!!! Can I live there??!!
